Complete an informal 5K (3.1 miles) in any manner possible, post a pic to our Facebook page or send us a picture of the way you completed your 5K- then check back with us to see how many others did the same.

Thanksgiving, Pie & Turkey Trots, and the 2024 ZJ5K!

Hello friends! We hope you’ll join us for the 2024 ZJ5K, held again this year over the four day Thanksgiving weekend. Complete your 5K anytime during those four days, either on your own, or with family and friends who have gathered for the holiday. Justin would have done a 5K each day… and Zack would have consumed pie on each day.

This year’s shirt design takes our familiar lightning bolt and puts it front and center- a fun bit bit of energy for our holiday weekends. Thank you for your support donating via the hoodies, long-sleeve t-shirts and kids options for this year’s event. As a reminder, 100% of the proceeds go towards Warfield Brothers Scholarships.

The Challenge

There are hundreds of people all across the world who would like to come together to honor Zack and Justin, and feel a sense of community while doing it. How do you gather participants from every continent on the same day to do that?

The Solution

You set up the ZJ5K! Thousands of participants have completed their own 5Ks over the years, documented them, and uploaded the results to the Warfield Brothers Foundation Facebook page. Some of the highlights are below, and there are more to come every year!

We started the Zack 5K in 2012 to honor the memory of Zack Warfield, who passed away in 2011. His brother Justin passed away in 2016, and we are proud to once again honor both brothers with The ZJ5K. Our mission remains the same- raising funds for the Warfield Brothers Foundation, which awards multiple scholarships each year with the proceeds of the event.
